“Our fans as well as we have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Events can finally be held again and we are sure that nothing stands in the way of our BRAZZELTAG. We will put together a varied program and look forward to making the museum shake again together with our fans, ”enthuses Museum President Hermann Layher. Presentations of classic vintage cars, sports cars or US cars in the Brazzelparcours, guided tours and demonstrations of the Transall aircraft are planned, but various information stands and dealers will also be there again. Of course, the audience favorites Brutus and the Jet Dragster Schoolbus should not be missing. These will really heat up the visitors again.
BRAZZELTAG® - The Museum tembles!
Since 2011, the month of May for the Technik Museum Speyer has been all about rattling, chugging or crashing engines. With the technology festival BRAZZELTAG, an event was launched that is probably unique in this form. Surrounded by numerous exhibits, the museum comes to life two days a year and most recently attracted 14,000 petrol heads and technology fans to the area. It will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 13th and 14th, 2023. Even if you could bridge the last two years with a video and a live stream - there is nothing like the sound of howling engines or the smell of gasoline in the air.
Our highlight "BRUTUS"
This displacement monster comes out if you mount an American La France from 1907 on a 12-cylinder aircraft engine from BMW with a displacement of almost 47 litres! On the Bosch test track, Brutus reached a speed of 200 km/h. At BRAZZELTAG this projectile can be experienced live in action.
In 1911, this car was faster than any airplane or railroad of its time: the Blitzen-Benz! That year, Bob Burman raced across the sand track at Daytona Beach in a Blitzen Benz at 228.1 km/h. Brutus, Mavis and the Benz - the trio of incredible prewar racing cars at this year's BRAZZELTAG is complete!
Streetfighter South Burnout Show
The Streetfighters offers again best entertainment on this year's Brazzeltag. For this purpose, specially rebuilt road motorcycles are used, which only have the purpose to destroy tires as fast and spectacular as possible. Steaming roads and burning tires will bring enjoy anyone!
Transall is coming to live!
Peter Horsch (Classic Aviators) and Markus Willimek (former Transall on-board technician) spent several months getting the "Trall" ready for the BRAZZELTAG. The result can be seen, heard and felt this year Airplane, the machine is also started - an experience for all the senses and a must for every airplane fan.
The school bus from Gerd Habermann Racing is also here this year. The American school bus replica is equipped with a Westinghouse aircraft turbine with an afterburner and thus is unique in Europe. The bus has an output of 20,000 hp and is powered by kerosene Jet A-1. Consumption is 160 litres for a quarter mile (402 metres).
You have to have a head for heights here... The Unimog Museum Gaggenau offers BRAZZELTAG visitors the opportunity to (experience) drive a Unimog! Every day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. there are ridesharing opportunities on the Unimog ramp.
Chris Rid - Kawasaki Stunt Show
On his Kawasaki ZX6R (4 Cylinder / 130 hp), which he rebuilt for the sport "Freestyle Stuntriding", he will show the visitors daring stunt shows.
